Brief summary of present officer responsibilities (subject to change):
New officers begin as the secretary and ascend through all officer positions in subsequent years.

President Organize and conduct Spring and Fall conferences. Organize and conduct board meetings and business meetings. Work with Executive Director and Treasurer to stabilize or improve financial position. Attend Spring and Fall state conferences and Leadership and Legislative conferences. Attend national MGMA conferences if possible. Vote on important issues that may arise during term. Time requirement is high. 10-15 days out of the office for conferences besides time spend organizing committees & meetings.

Vice-President
Assume Legislative Liaison duties. Attend Leadership Conference and Health Policy Conference. Vote on important issues that may arise during term. Report Legislative activities at the Spring and Fall conferences. Attend Spring and Fall state conferences. Attend national MGMA meetings if possible. Start planning dates, locations and speakers for Spring and Fall conferences during Presidential year. Time requirement - medium to high. 5-10 days for conferences out of the office plus time spent organizing committees & meetings.

Treasurer Sign checks and review financial reports. Vote on important issues that may arise during term. Report at the Spring and Fall conferences on the financial position of the association. Attend Leadership Conference and Health Policy Conference if President or Vice President is unable to attend. Attend Spring and Fall State conferences. Attend national MGMA meetings if possible. Time requirement - low to medium.

Secretary
Keep a record of all board meetings. Read previous minutes of the past board and member meetings at the Spring and Fall conference. Vote on important issues that may arise during term. Substitute for officers that are unable to Attend the Leadership Conference or Health Policy Conference. Attend state conferences. Attend national MGMA meetings if possible. Time requirement - low.
